Hey. I’m glad you made your way here.

offering individual and couples therapy for over-functioning, under-resourced professionals

Individual Counseling

Like most of my clients, you look around and your life seems put together - you have a great job, you have a solid, longer term relationship- your friends think of you as “put together”. … but internally? You’re exhausted trying to hold it all together. Your marriage isn’t a place of refuge, it’s just more work. You would talk to friends, but you know they won’t understand: you know… the stuff you’re not sure you want to tell anyone?

Maybe it’s about what your job (or childhood or marriage) is really like.

‍ ‍Or how busy your brain really feels.

How much effort goes into every day just trying to show up and not scream.

And I get it - sometimes you feel desperate but also mad at yourself for even feeling upset, because you are tough enough to handle everything without help.

Well, yeah. Of course you are. But you don’t have to.

You do it all for everyone else, here, you get to show up however you need. Go ahead and scream.

Couples Counseling

You’ve had the talks. You’ve tried "date nights”. You may have even tried counseling or a workbook before, but nothing seems to account for the way that you or your partner’s brain is different. You know you should have compassion but you’re feeling overwhelmed or misunderstood and you need help to either reconnect or call it quits before you really end up hating each other.

Together, we’ll work out the story of your relationship- where it started, where you’re at now and where you’re going. We’ll get radically honest about what each of you need and who you are. At the end, you’ll find depths of compassion you didn’t know you had - for your partner, yes, but also for yourself.

Ready to Transform Your Work?

You know that you don’t want to “just” do therapy/social work, you want to

do work that changes the world,

but you’re not sure how to talk about politics, values or social justice without being unethical or sounding like an ass.

Let’s figure it out together.

For 15+ years, I worked as a social worker in the community- at Child Welfare, OHSU hospital and with several domestic violence programs. Every day I saw the trauma and frustration that my colleagues in the legal and medical professions experienced as they did incredible work to help and heal others. I know how the pressures of the job, balancing home life and unfair/inefficient systems adds up. I opened my private practice to help professionals in the healthcare and other high trauma positions get the support they need to keep showing up.
